Houston, We Have Landed

Oi! (Hello in Portuguese) Greetings from warm, humid Brazil. We arrived safely at 1:00am local time (11pm EST) after leaving Miami at 6:40 am EST. We had a team meal together in Miami & again in Belem and I believe we have really started to bond & gel as a team. Lots of good fellowship & laughter before the hard work begins. Today (Saturday) we got to sleep about 2:30 am & awoke at 8:30 am for breakfast & team orientation. We plan to get our "feet under us" today, eat dinner in the guest house tonight & get a good night's sleep. We plan to attend worship at 9:00 am tomorrow & then catch a line boat (greyhound on water) to Monte Alegre & then on inland for 3 hours (est.) to the village we will be working on. Thanks for following us & please be in prayer for & Project Amazon as we work together to kingdom build. We love you & appreciate your prayers & support. Also, our one glitch is that Amie's bag did not make it from Manaus. Appreciate your prayers for it's safe, timely arrival. No internet in the guest house, but we will do the best we can at updating, Ciao!

  1. Thanks so much for letting us all know about your safe arrival. I imagine you are, by now, up river and perhaps even at your new village home!
We are all praying for you up here in NH and trusting that Amie's luggage made it to her in time, that it's not constant rain, thunder, and lightning (no matter what the weather station has posted), and that you will get a good night sleep tonight before your first day of construction work tomorrow.
    Blessings on you all!

  3. Praise Jesus!! Sisterhood Table 22 is lifting each one of you up to the Lord!! We can't wait to hear about all the people you touched while you all are in Brazil! Thank you for taking the Greater Commision into the Amazon!

  4. Love to read the updates. Blessings on all of you and esp. my wonderful husband, John. You are winding down today and, most assuredly, coming to the close of an incredible journey in Christ. Cannot wait to hear the amazing stories of what He did in and through all of you.
    See you all soon....
